(EUSTIS, FL) Former Eustis City Commissioner and Democratic activist Bill Ferree has filed to run for Florida's Congressional District 10, currently held by Daniel Webster.

Ferree, 69, is a former airline captain, small business owner, and has served on the Lake-Sumpter MPO Board of Directors (a transportation planning body). He was a school board member and school district labor negotiator in New Hampshire. He is the author of Empty Tank, Empty Wallet - a book on improving America's energy policy and economy. He has lived in Central Florida for 17 years.

"I am running because Daniel Webster recklessly endangers our fragile economy through inaction and obstruction. He has put fundraising off Tea Party supporters before the needs of his district and the American people, who want moderate voices and cooperation," said Ferree.

"District 10 citizens deserve a representative who puts their interests first. I'll work to bring jobs, protect civil rights and a woman’s right to choose. I'll be a champion for the environment and public education. I will stand up for the working class, but eagerly embrace a less partisan dialog in Washington."
